A Few New Random Pics...

As I'm sure you've noticed, we don't take many pictures of anyone or anything other than Carson. But those who have kids, nieces/nephews, etc. I'm sure can relate with me as to why! Kids tend to have many picture worthy moments! So, here are a few more pics of our little guy, as well as a couple of belly shots.... Ugh. For posterity's sake. Enjoy!

FHE Activity!!!

We decided that it would be a fun Family Home Evening activity if we baked and decorated sugar cookies. Carson loved rolling the dough, cutting out the shapes, mixing the colors into the icing, decorating the cookies, but more importantly EATING the cookies. We had so much fun doing this, so if you're looking for a fun FHE activity, give this one a try!

SO romantic??? (My cookie says 'Emily' that Danny so sweetly made for me)

Hair Cut!!

He has not had a haircut since before June this year, so we decided it was PROBABLY time for him to get one. Before we finished though, Danny wanted us to get a mullet shot... Carson, as you can see, was more than happy to oblige.

Carson's Big Boy Bed!!!

So we figured it was finally time to start Carson out on his "Big Boy Bed" just so that he'd be used to it by the time the baby comes. He (as I'm sure many of you can guess) is a Lightening McQueen fanatic, so he was SO excited about his new bed. Of course the challenge of not having him caged in will take some adjusting, but over all, I think he's doing GREAT with this new stage!

*AuTuMn FuN*

Carson has become VERY opinionated about his wardrobe lately, and this particular night, he had to wear both McQueen AND doggies, so this was the end result.........

Carson's caution cone 'shoes' that he likes to wear....

Carson's 'What About Bob?' hairdo in the bathtub.

Our cute little man.

Carson and his friend, Andrew, at the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum.

Another excuse for my poor blogging has been due to the fact that we haven't had a camera for the past several months. When we had taken Carson to preschool earlier this summer, like the cheesy mother that I am, I took our camera to capture Carson's first moments of preschool only to have it stolen at the preschool!!! Not having a camera readily accessible when you have a 2-year-old makes it easy to miss a lot of picture perfect moments, so I FINALLY broke down and bought a new one recently. Here are a few recent pictures that we thought you might enjoy.

Halloween

Okay, okay, so I've been told by numerous people that I'm not a very good blogger. I admit, I'm behind on a lot of things, for example: I still haven't made prints of Carson's first birthday party, and here he's going to be 2 1/2 in December.... I'm going to TRY to do better with this.

Anyways, Halloween was a lot of fun. It didn't take Carson much time to figure out that if he said "Er Treat" at people's doors, he would get some candy. We ended up trick-or-treating for 3 hours that night, and Carson wanted to keep going! Danny and I were the ones who finally had to throw the towel in that night!!

*SuMmIt GaRdEnS*

This Nicci was very sweet, but had a huge gaping wound on the other side of its face :(

Cute but grumpy monkey

HUGE army ants... AH!

This is a little "zoo" in Gamboa called Summit Gardens. It's full of animals and wildlife that you would see here in the Panamanian jungle. Although it was a treat to see these beautiful and exotic animals, it was also so sad to see their poor living conditions.

The Ol' Stomping Grounds

Our room at the Albrook Inn, close to Panama City. Mom and Dad were nice enough to give us our own room for the first 3 nights as an anniversary gift!

Near the old neighborhood.

The Panama Canal Administration Building with a monument dedicated to the man who invented an immunization against Malaria.

When we first arrived, Dad took us around to many of his old stomping grounds. He sure is fond of it here, and after seeing everything we've seen, we know why!

*The PaNaMa TeMpLe!*

Muy Bonita!!!

We're definitely not trying to win any beauty contests here...

Okay, so here's the real reason we are here! It is SO beautiful and sits so nicely up on a hill in the jungle. Danny, my dad and I, were all lucky enough to be able to be inside the temple for the dedication. It was such a neat experience. It's truly a place where you will find many people and cultures come together as one.

Out on the dock waiting for the Cayman to come eat some fish guts... Yummy!

These berries are a parasite that grow and get their nourishment from coconut trees.

So Pretty!

A real banana bunch and blossom!

Here's a little glimpse of the BEAUTIFUL resort we stayed for one night in Gamboa. It's right on the shore of the Chagres River, which feeds into the the Panama Canal.

*CoRoNaDo!*

Dad being a Lush and chugging down some fermented pipa juice. (He tried to tell us that it wasn't fermented, although there was a night and day difference in taste between this one, and the fresh one that Jonathan had picked. Of course, this is also coming from a guy who couldn't taste the alcohol in our drinks a few days ago when we had ordered some Pina Coloda's. Turns out the you have to specify that you want a 'virgin' Pina Coloda while here in good ol' Panama.... :) )

Jonathan gave He-Man a run for his money today and climbed a palm tree to pick us some fresh pipa. Pipa is a not quite ripe coconut that has some DELICIOUS juice and a jello like meat inside. It was muy bien!

Having fun with my sibs. Just wish Christina and Marcus were here to complete the picture... :(

Havin' fun with the girls!

Mom and I at the Resort in Coronado.

Tossing a Frisbee in the Ocean

Relaxing on the beach

Danny and Mr. Pinchy: I have never seen such a beautiful crab before! I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but this crab actually had purple claws and a bright orange body! He's just lucky he was a little guy, or I would have been a lot more hungry while taking this picture....

Testing, Testing 1 2 3......

Okay, so we've finally lost all originality and have jumped on the blogging bandwagon... Oiy. Oh well, what else are you supposed to do when you're within 2 steps of the beautiful and warm Atlantic ocean??? :) I know what you're probably thinking.... why aren't you at the beach ENJOYING the beautiful Atlantic ocean?? Well, I'll tell you. After spending a great deal of our time strolling the white sandy beaches and searching for the breathtaking treasures the ocean has to offer (i.e. seashells), I can honestly say I'm pooped. One can only do so much relaxing before you need to relax from relaxing. Make sense??? :) Well this is just to get us started. We'll be posting pictures shortly. Hope this finds you all well.... xoxo Danny and Emily
